The bundled epub.js rendering engine unpacks and paginates your book locally in a clean two-column reader with a clickable table of contents, chapter-by-chapter navigation, keyboard page turns, adjustable font sizes, and Light/Dark/Sepia reading themes for comfortable day and night reading. Your reading position is remembered on your device, and because the entire pipeline is client-side, your library remains private: publishers, servers, and trackers never see what you read.

Is my ebook uploaded while I read it?
No. The EPUB is a ZIP of HTML chapters that is unpacked and rendered entirely in your browser memory. Nothing is transmitted to any server, so even sensitive manuscripts and copyrighted books stay completely private.
Does it work with DRM-protected ebooks (e.g. Adobe DRM)?
No — and by design. DRM schemes require licensed servers and locked apps. This reader handles DRM-free EPUB files (most books from Standard Ebooks, Project Gutenberg, many independent stores, and your own exports).
Can I keep my reading position between sessions?
Yes. Your last location is saved locally in your browser for each book, so when you reopen the same file you can continue where you left off.
Why do some complex books look slightly different here?
EPUB styling varies wildly between publishers. The reader honors the book's own styles where possible and normalizes the rest for comfortable reading; print-oriented fixed layouts may display differently than in dedicated e-ink apps.
